If you hear static, buzzing, or distorted sound from your phone speaker or Bluetooth device during playback, it is usually caused by signal interference, audio file quality, or dust blockage. Please do not worry. This is rarely a permanent hardware failure. You can follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue, and most cases can be resolved with simple cleaning or settings adjustments.

I. Hardware and Environment

1. Clean the Speaker and Receiver

Dust or small particles can accumulate in the speaker holes and receiver mesh over time. This can cause vibration noises that sound like static. Please use a clean, dry, soft brush to gently clean the openings at the bottom and top of the phone to ensure there are no blockages.

2. Remove Protective Accessories

Some phone cases or screen protectors may cover the audio output areas or trap debris against the speaker. This can block sound or cause vibration noise. Please temporarily remove your phone case and check if the screen protector is covering the receiver. If the sound becomes clear, the accessory was likely the cause.

3. Avoid Signal Interference

Strong magnetic fields or radio interference from devices like microwaves or elevators can disrupt the signal, causing buzzing sounds in both speakers and Bluetooth devices. Please try moving to an open area with a stable signal and test the audio again.

II. Software and System Settings

1. Verify Audio Quality and Volume

Distortion often comes from the music or video file itself, or from volume levels that are too high. Please try playing high-quality audio from a different app. Also, if you are using an equalizer or "Bass Boost" feature, turn it off and lower the volume to a medium level to see if the distortion stops.

2. Restart Phone and Update System

If the system has been running for a long time, temporary errors in the audio driver may occur. Please restart your phone to refresh the system. We also recommend updating your phone to the latest software version, as updates often fix known compatibility bugs.

3. Re-pair Bluetooth Device

If the noise only happens with Bluetooth earphones, the connection cache might be the issue. Please go to Bluetooth settings, select your device, and tap "Unpair" or "Forget this device." Then, pair the device again to establish a fresh connection.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please back up your data and visit a realme Customer Service Center for professional assistance.
