Camera Flash Not Working or Won’t Turn Off? Fix It Now

Learn about how to troubleshoot if the flash won't work or won't turn off.

Applicable to all realme smartphones.
 

If your flash isn't working

Use Control Center to test the flash. Turn the flashlight off and on. If the flashlight works, do the following:

1. Check the battery level.
2. Flash cannot be turned on when the battery is lower than 15%.
3. Check your flash settings.
4. Open the Camera app, click Image, then click On to turn on flash. When you click Auto, your phone will automatically detect lighting conditions and determine if a flash is necessary.

5. Your phone will disable flash when HDR is enabled. Make sure HDR is turned off.

6. Restart the phone


Restart the phone, and see if you fixed the issue. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Slide down to power off message appears. Drag the power icon down to turn off the phone. To turn the phone back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the realme logo.

7. Clear the camera's data and cache.

  Long-press the Camera icon > App info > Storage usageClear data / Clear cache

8. Update the system.

 

 

If your flash won't turn off.

 

Check if the flashlight is turned on. Swipe from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center, then turn off the flashlight.
