Phone heating is a common physical phenomenon that can happen during use.

When your phone gets warm, you might notice some features slowing down or changing. This is actually your phone’s smart temperature control system hard at work. It proactively limits certain performance or features to "cool down" the hardware and reduce the load. This is a crucial safety mechanism designed to prevent heat damage.

The following are normal signs that your phone is protecting itself to ensure safety and stability:

I. Slower Charging Speed

When the phone temperature is high, the system smartly limits the charging current to protect battery safety and extend its lifespan. This might cause charging to slow down temporarily. Once the phone cools down, the restriction will be lifted, and the charging speed will return to normal.

II. Apps Closing Automatically

If the phone is in an extremely hot environment (like inside a car under the summer sun or left outside in the heat for a long time), the temperature control system will trigger high-temperature protection. It may force the current app to close and show a high-temperature warning. You can restart and use your apps normally once the device cools down naturally.

III. Lower Game Frame Rates

When running high-performance games, the processor and graphics chip work very hard. If the phone heats up, the system will appropriately lower the game's frame rate to generate less heat. The frame rate will automatically return to normal levels once the temperature drops, ensuring your gaming experience isn't permanently affected.

IV. Screen Dimming Automatically

To lower overall power consumption and reduce heat buildup, the system may automatically lower the screen brightness when the phone gets too warm. The brightness will return to your set level or adapt to the ambient light once the temperature returns to normal.

V. Speaker Volume Lowering

To protect the stability of the speaker hardware, the temperature control system may lower the speaker volume if the phone gets too hot. The volume will automatically return to your set level after the phone cools down, without affecting sound quality.
