The realme Smart Scale adopts the BIA (Bio-impedance analysis, BIA) method. The main principle of BIA is to simply divide the body into conductive fluids, muscles, and non-conductive adipose tissue. After you step barefoot on the four metal electrodes on the body fat scale, the BIA module inside measures the resistance from your left foot to your right foot. During the measurement, the body fat scale sends out a very small current through the body. If the fat ratio is high, the measured bio resistance is large, otherwise, the bio resistance is small. Then combine your height, weight, age, gender, and other data to calculate body fat, muscle, water, and other human health parameters.
