If you find that your incoming calls have no sound, the ringtone is too quiet, or the sound stops unexpectedly, it is often due to silent mode settings, interference from "Do Not Disturb," or dirt blocking the speaker. Please be assured that this is rarely a hardware failure. You can troubleshoot the issue by checking the following settings.
I. Settings and Configuration
1. Check Volume and Ringtone Source
Ensure your phone is not in Silent or Vibrate mode. Please press the Volume Up button to increase the ringtone volume to the maximum. Also, go to Settings, then Sound & Vibration, to verify that a valid ringtone is selected. If you are using a custom song file, try switching to a default system ringtone to ensure the original file is not corrupted.
2. Turn Off Do Not Disturb
The Do Not Disturb (DND) mode can silence incoming calls completely. Please swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Control Center and check if the DND icon is active. If it is on, please turn it off to restore call sounds.
3. Disable Motion Gestures
If the ringtone starts but then gets quiet or stops when you pick up the phone, a gesture setting is likely the cause. Please go to Settings and look for "Gestures & Motions." Check for features like "Flip to Mute". If these are enabled, please turn them off to keep the ringtone volume constant.

II. Hardware and Maintenance
1. Clean the Speaker Area
Dust or lint accumulating in the speaker holes can significantly lower the volume. Please check the speaker grille at the bottom of the phone. If you see debris, use a soft, dry brush to gently clean the opening. Also, ensure your phone case is not accidentally covering the speaker output.
2. Restart Phone and Update System
Temporary software errors can sometimes disable the audio driver. Please restart your phone to refresh the system. We also recommend updating your phone to the latest software version, as updates often include fixes for audio stability issues.
