Internet connectivity issues are usually caused by temporary network congestion, incorrect settings, or carrier service interruptions rather than a hardware defect in your device. If you cannot connect to mobile data or Wi-Fi, or if your connection is slow, please follow the steps below. These solutions resolve most connectivity problems quickly.

I. Basic Troubleshooting & Environment

1. Toggle Airplane Mode to refresh the connection

Temporary network errors can stop data from loading. Swipe down from the top of your screen to open the Control Center. Tap the "Airplane Mode" icon to turn it on, wait for 10 seconds, and then turn it off again. This forces your device to disconnect and reconnect to the nearest signal tower or Wi-Fi router.

2. Check your physical location and case

Thick walls, basements, elevators, and metal barriers block signals. If you have poor reception, move to an open area or near a window. Additionally, remove any metal phone cases or magnetic accessories, as these can interfere with the device's internal antenna.

II. SIM Card & Carrier Checks

1. Inspect and re-insert the SIM card

A loose or dirty SIM card prevents mobile data access. Power off your device and use the ejector tool to remove the SIM tray. Check the gold contact on the SIM card for dirt or damage. Wipe it gently with a clean, dry cloth, re-insert it firmly, and restart your device.

2. Verify data limits and carrier status

Ensure you have not exceeded your monthly data plan limit. Contact your carrier or check their app to verify your account status. You should also ask if there are any known network outages in your current area.

III. System Settings & Reset

1. Check Date and Time settings

Incorrect date or time settings can block internet access for security reasons. Go to Settings > System > Date & time. Ensure that "Set automatically" (or "Use network-provided time") is turned on.

2. Reset Network Settings

If other methods fail, a configuration file may be corrupted. Please go to Settings, search for and select "Reset Network Settings" (or "Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth"). This will return all network configurations to their factory defaults. Note that this will remove saved Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth pairings, but it will not delete your photos, contacts, or apps.

If none of the above methods solve your problem, please back up your data and go to the nearest realme service center for testing.
