Charging stability can be affected by several factors, including the condition of your cable, how clean the ports are, and the room temperature. To keep you safe, your realme phone features multiple built-in protections for the battery.

If your phone is charging intermittently or constantly disconnecting, please follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

I. Check Connections and Accessories

1. Ensure a tight connection

Intermittent charging is often caused by a loose physical connection. Please check that the charger is firmly in the wall socket, the cable is fully plugged into the charger, and the cable is securely connected to your phone. We recommend unplugging and replugging both ends of the cable and restarting your phone to reset the charging detection logic.

2. Test your accessories

A faulty power outlet or aging accessories can cause an unstable power supply. Try using a different wall socket first. If the problem persists, try using another original cable or charger. This will help you determine if the issue is with the outlet, the cable, or the charging brick. If any accessory is found to be damaged, please replace it to ensure safe charging.

II. Check Ports and Environment

1. Clean the charging port

Dust, lint, or liquid in the charging port can cause poor contact or trigger safety protections. Check the port for debris.

  • If there is liquid: Turn off the phone immediately, dab it dry with absorbent paper, and leave it in a well-ventilated area to air dry completely.

  • If there is dust or dirt: Gently clean it out with a soft brush. Once the port is clean and dry, try charging again.

2. Ensure a suitable temperature

Lithium batteries are sensitive to temperature. To protect the battery’s lifespan, your phone may limit or stop charging if the temperature is below 0°C or above 45°C. We recommend charging your phone in a comfortable indoor environment and avoiding heavy tasks like gaming while charging to prevent the device from overheating.
