If your phone stops charging before it reaches 100%, please don't worry.

This is often due to settings designed to protect your battery health, or it may be related to the charging environment and accessories. The following steps will help you identify the cause and resolve the issue.

I. Settings and Software Check

1. Check Optimized Night Charging/Smart Charging

Your phone may have a feature called "Optimized Night Charging" or "Smart Charging." This feature pauses charging at 80% to slow down battery aging and finishes charging just before you wake up. If you need a full charge immediately, you can turn this off in Settings > Battery > Battery Health > Optimized Night Charging / Smart Charging.

2. Close high-power apps

Running demanding apps like games or video streaming while charging can consume power as fast as it comes in, preventing the battery from reaching full capacity. We recommend closing background apps and letting the phone charge while the screen is off.

3. Restart your phone

Sometimes a temporary software glitch can cause the battery indicator to display incorrectly. Restarting your phone can refresh the system and correct the battery level display.

II. Hardware and Environment Check

1. Ensure a suitable temperature

High temperatures can trigger safety mechanisms that stop charging to prevent overheating. If your phone feels hot, or if the room temperature is above 45°C (113°F), charging may stop early. Please move your phone to a cooler place to finish charging.

2. Inspect the charger and cable

Old or damaged charging accessories might not deliver enough power to fully charge the battery, especially as it gets closer to 100%. Please try using a different original charger and data cable to see if the issue persists.

3. Clean the charging port

Dust or lint inside the charging port can create a poor connection, increasing resistance and heat, which may cause the phone to stop charging prematurely. Gently clean the port with a dry, soft brush or check for debris.

If the battery still cannot reach 100% after trying these steps, we recommend backing up your data and taking your device and proof of purchase to a Customer Service Center for inspection.
