Problem phenomenon:

The customer’s voice is not clear or audible to the other person on the call, or the microphone is not working on the call.

Causes:

1. Signal Strength: Both the caller and receiver must have strong signal strength for a clear conversation. Weak signals on either side can lead to poor sound quality.

2. Device Issues: The other party's mobile device may have malfunctioned, resulting in low or absent sound.

3. App Compatibility: Some third-party phone applications may not be compatible with your phone model or software.

4. Microphone Hardware: Hardware issues with the microphone could hinder its proper function.

5. System Settings: Temporary corruption or misconfiguration in the system settings may occur.

Solution:

1. Improve Signal: Move to an area with better signal reception and try calling again.

2. Test Another Contact: Call a different number to check if the sound quality is normal.

3. Use Default App: Make calls using the default phone app pre-installed on your device.

4. Microphone Diagnostic Test:

For realme UI 3.0 & above versions: Go to Phone Manager > Go to Phone Manager > Click on Tool at the Bottom right side of the screen / 3 dots on top right corner > Diagnostics > Select Audio test and deselect the rest of the tests if you have no other issues > Run Diagnostics and follow the instructions to perform the test.

For realme UI 2.0: Go to Phone Manager > Diagnostics > Continue > Select Audio > Run Diagnostics and follow the instructions to perform the test.

realme UI R & T & S & Go & U Edition: Not supported

5. Restore Settings: Reset your system and network settings:

realme UI 7.0 & 6.0: Settings > System & updates > Backup & reset > Reset phone > Reset all settings (including network settings).

realme UI 5.0 & 4.0 & 3.0: Settings > System / Additional Settings > Back up and reset > Reset Phone > Reset all settings (including network settings).

realme UI 2.0 & 1.0: Settings > Additional Settings > Back up and reset > Erase all data (factory reset) > Reset Phone > Reset system settings only, Reset network settings.

realme UI R & T & S & Go & U Edition: Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth.

This function will restore your phone’s settings to factory defaults, but it will not erase your data.
