We understand how inconvenient it is when your device won't start. Please don't worry—this is usually caused by a drained battery or a temporary system glitch, and can often be resolved quickly with the following steps.
I. Power and Button Checks
1. Charge to Activate
If the phone hasn't been used for a long time or the battery is completely drained, it might not turn on immediately. Please charge it with the original charger for at least 30 minutes. Once it has enough power, press and hold the Power button to try turning it on again.
2. Check the Power Button
Please remove your phone case and check if there is any dust or liquid around the Power button. If it looks dirty, gently wipe it with a soft cloth. Ensure the button clicks normally, then press and hold it again.
3. Force Restart the Device
If the screen remains unresponsive, the system might be frozen. Please try a force restart: Press and hold the Power button and Volume Up button simultaneously for more than 10 seconds.
II. System and Display Troubleshooting
1. Reset System via Recovery Mode
If the phone turns on but gets stuck on the logo screen and won't load the home screen, you can try clearing the data.
(Warning: This will delete all data on your phone. Only use this method if you cannot access your data anyway.)
With the phone turned off, press and hold the Power button and Volume Down button. Release the buttons when the phone vibrates to enter Recovery Mode.
Select your language (English) > Wipe data or Format data > Enter the verification code shown on the screen > Confirm. Once finished, restart the phone.
2. Check the Display
If the phone vibrates or makes a sound when you press the Power button, but the screen stays black, this usually indicates an issue with the screen hardware or connection cables.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, your device may have a hardware fault. We recommend visiting a realme Customer Service Center with your proof of purchase for professional inspection and repair.
