Problem phenomenon:

The laptop still drains the battery even after the screen is turned off.

Problem causes:

After the computer has not been used for a period of time, it will turn off the screen, sleep, or hibernate according to the system settings. Different states have different power consumption, but there will still be power consumption.

Screen off: Only the monitor is turned off, other functions still work normally.

Sleep: Save the data being processed to the memory, and all devices except the memory are powered off. When you use your computer again, you can quickly wake the computer from sleep to the state it was in before you left.

Hibernation: Store all the data in the memory in a specific space on the hard disk, and then cut off all power supplies. When you use it again, the computer can be restored to the state it was in before the power outage, but the recovery time is longer.

Therefore, when the screen of the computer is turned off, whether it is only the screen off, sleep or hibernation, there will be a certain amount of power consumption. It is recommended that you operate according to specific usage scenarios to facilitate use and reduce the power consumption of the computer.

Solutions:

Scenario 1: When you don't need to operate the computer for a short time, you can put the computer into a sleep state, wake up quickly when you use it again, and reduce power consumption at the same time.

Method 1: Click on the desktop Win >Power & Sleep to enter the sleep state.
