Problem phenomenon:

The user has received the OTA update but cannot update it due to a network error.


Solution:

A phone must be updated, but it is not a necessity. Your phone can still work without being updated. Nonetheless, you will not receive any new features on your phone and bugs will not be fixed. You may continue to experience problems.

If the update is available and not able to update the device, the issue can be resolved by the following steps:

1. Check whether the network connection of Wi-Fi or Mobile network.

2. Check whether the Internet is working or not.

3. Check whether the Internet speed is good.

4. Optimize the phone. Please go to Phone Manager > Optimize.

5. If there is less memory in the phone, check to delete not required File/Apps/ Media: Go to Settings > Storage.

6. If the issue is still the same, please Restart the phone by long pressing the Power key > Swipe to restart.

7. If you still experience the same issue, try a factory reset. 

realme UI 7.0 & 6.0: Settings > System & updates > Backup & reset > Reset phone Erase all data.

realme UI 5.0 & 4.0 & 3.0: Settings > System/Additional Settings > Back up and reset > Reset Phone > Erase all data.

realme UI 1.0 & 2.0: Settings > Additional Settings > Backup & Reset > Erase all data(factory reset) > Erase all data.

realme UI R & Go & S & T & U Edition: Settings > System > Reset options > Erase all data.


Our recommendation is to visit your nearest realme service center if you still experience the issue.
